Sarah is originally from Columbia, SC, where she studied Christian Education and Spanish at Presbyterian College. She served for two years as a Young Adult Volunteer (a program of the Presbyterian Church USA). Sarah lived in Guatemala with a host family and worked with women’s groups through the Presbyterian Church of Guatemala and then moved back to the U.S. to serve in Tucson, AZ working with day laborers. She founded her own non-profit, Hands and Feet of Asheville and currently serves as the Director of Proyecto para las Escuelas Guatemaltecas, or Guatemalan School Project. We are blessed to have her serve in our kids’ ministry and grateful for the many skills she brings to the important work of faith formation with our children.
